Just sharing.....

Here's a few pictures I wanted to share.... we went to Zion's Nat'l resort, right outside of Zion's for a few days. It was a wonderful place, buffalo right by our cabin, a great restaurant where Regan enjoyed elk and buffalo fillets. I would highly recommend it. You can look at the website, which is zionmountainresort.com
Also, a picture of our cats, Jack & Charlie, the odd couple, enjoying each others' company. They're best buds.
We also went to the BYU game on Saturday, which we really enjoyed. It was a close game and the fans around us were getting pretty irate with BYU's mistakes, but they won after all, which is always good. But it was a fun experience for the family. One last comment.. mom had her final eye exam and she now sees 20/25. The doctor's called her their miracle patient. They've never seen eyes as bad as hers make such a turn around. She can now wake up and not worry about finding her contacts to put in, losing them or paying for anymore. She did get a prescription for eye glasses for reading and driving since she still has a slight stigmastism. Overall, a great blessing!
Hope all you're all doing well!

Sisters having fun.....

Here's some pictures of the sisters at Josh's wedding, Terrell dancing with Josh at the reception, Ady working and Leigh sleeping... which she did 80% of the time. She must have needed the break. Mom just sat back and enjoyed herself. Terrell spoiled her, which is good. Mom's not used to that!
Hope all is well with everyone and especially hope Bill is continuing to feel better.

Chaplain's Conference

Here's a picture of me, Janae, Jess & my friend Andrea at a Chaplain's Conference in the RS building on temple square. This is my fifth year singing at it, and helping to arrange the musical numbers for the day. It's sort of a mini General Conference for all the Chaplains throughout the U.S. in the military.
This year I invited Jess to sing a duet with me, and my friend Andrea, who is a professional flutist, to perform as well. Last year Ellynn sang a duet with me and then a solo on her own. Why didin't we take a picture Ellynn!! Janae has been our pianist three years in a row now and looks forward to it each time. Sister Beck was the speaker at this luncheon. The General RS Pres or General YW Pres take turns speaking each year, along with a 4 Star General. Elder Oaks and Elder Wood are always in attendance, mainly due to their military background. I even get to bring Regan! The luncheon is provided by the Lion House and is always superb.
Always a privilege, blessing and great experience!

Holly Jolly

Here's a few pics of ol' Holly Jolly. I have her at my house for a few days. She really love the kitty just sprawling across her lap. It made her feel good. The next day I fixed her hair for her and did a few pics.

Pregnancy Update

So we got a new camera and have been snapping pictures to send off to family for the past week. We took a set of pictures to show how big Ellynn’s belly is getting and it was a picture she actually liked so I think I’m safe in posting it to the blog so you can see what she looks like. The baby is plenty healthy and strong, he spends a good portion of his day kicking away and making Ellynn’s stomach look like a scene right out of “Alien”. With just under 2 months to go we’re sure the belly’s gonna just keep growing…

Trish in Women's Conference Choir

Hi Family,
Just thought I'd let you know that I saw Trish in the choir that sang for the General R.S. Conference last Saturday. The meeting was great and the choir was beautiful. What a great opportunity! Not many have the chance to sing in the Conference Center. Well done, Trish!

Justin's b-day & other stuff.....

Hi Family, Here's some pictures of Justin's 22nd birthday. Wow, I feel old. But he got some great presents, but his favorite was the one Ady gave him, a GIJOE car, dolls, and accessories. Can I call them dolls? Anyway, I think he's going to save them for his first son. haha
Mom & I went up to Logan Tuesday; her to spend a day with Bev, and me to spend a day with Janna. (Janna's b-day). But the canyon was beautiful so I grabbed my camera and got a picture while driving. (ignore the white care in the picture). Bev drove mom all around and wore her out, but mom enjoyed herself nevertheless. Mom had her pre-op appointment yesterday, and has her second eye surgery next Wednesday. Her eyes are looking great and everything is going just fine, but thanks for your phone calls to her. Made her feel really good.
Anyway, I hope all is well with each of you. Again, good luck to Bill on his surgery. You'll be in our prayers, and if you can attend the temple before then, put his name on the prayer roll.
We love you Bill!!

Goliath Jared

I thought you might get a kick out of Jared, napping away on our swing. He's outgrown everything and is a whopping 6'2" now.(don't you love the feet hanging over the edge!)
Just became a Priest on Sunday and is working at the grocery store.

Look at your calendar! I'm planning a Stout family dinner on October 18th, at Dave's Barbecue in Salt Lake at 4:30pm. (beat the rush) Let me know you can make it? It's also Jim's b-day a few days later, so maybe we can combine that as well!? (let me know Shauna?) I know this is one of Jimmy's favorite places!
But it would be fun to get together. Oh, this is just for adults!!! No kids!!!
Hope you're all doing well!

We finally got a cat!

Hey everyone, we finally adopted a little male kitty today. He is the most loveable cuddly thing I've ever seen. All he wants to do is lay across your lap or behind your neck and sleep. The kids love him. We just can't decide on a name. Please go to the blog and vote on the poll to the right. If you have any better ideas, please comment.
And yes, Scrappy is handling the competition just dandy.

Gone Fishin

Labor day weekend was low key this year. The parade was rained out. Later that day when it dried out, Dave took Darren and Ryan fishing at Spring Lake. Here are their winnings. I stayed home and canned peaches and green beans. Today I am canning salsa. What did you guys do for the weekend. Please update.

More Holly

Holly wanted to show everyone her stunning new outfit....
Here's Holly's message to you all:
"Hi guys!! I just wanted to say how much I love you and miss you all. I hope you're all doing really well and are happy. I really miss you and can't wait to see you all again. Did I tell you I have a pen pal? His name is Bradley. He lives in Minnesota right now but is moving to Canada. He's like me. He's also very nice and handsome. I think he's younger than me too.
Well, I have a new exercise bike and will be doing better about exercising on it. Rob found it for me.
I love you all very much and know you're the best brothers and sisters ever. I always thank Heavenly Father for you in my prayers.

Love Holly the Jolly

Golf with a Pro

Today Darren had a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a private golf lesson from pro golf player, Ben Lammi. He in our ward occasionally but is rarely seen because he is always on tour. He's leaving Friday for another tournament in Korea. He just finished the Hooters tour, I'm surprised Leigh didn't meet him there. Anyway, he's going to help us get Darren into some golf clubs when he gets back in a few weeks. Here are a few pics. He unbelievable. He said I could invite my golf obsessed brothers along next time :)

And here is Ryan on his first day back to school. 5th grade if you can believe it.
